Man, I wish I took better notes about where I found that photo. I don't have the original. I found it somewhere in the ether of the internet. I would agree that staging a re-creation of this shot would be fabulous.
The Faro Basso would be the tricky bit.
Note the D Model rider sitting on his passenger seat!. I've resorted to this on my LC out of aerodynamic desperation but it comes with a lot of testicular risk, given the 'ladies handle' between the seats.
Yes, that's true. I have a D, and I can tell you that the grab handle is HARD! It would not be too difficult to remove it though. I have a friend with a faro basso, and I myself have a GS and the D, so I could probably make it happen. Now, the question would be whether we could get all three running well enough at the same time to drag race. Hah!
Yeah, I bet. Early Lammy's are a drag to overhaul. A friend is running his barnfind D gearbox on 2T oil, because he's so loathed to open it up to do the seals!
You should run a competition, any three bikes B&W at night. No autos. Could be cool...get First Kick, SIP or someone to sponsor it?
