Vespa Largeframe Front Shock Removal and Replacement Part 3

Once the bottom nut is removed, turn the bolt at the bottom of the shock to break it free. If the shock is original to the scooter, or has not been replaced in a long time, it can be stuck in the top bracket, even with the top bolt removed. The bottom bolt can be seized in the shock as well. Once the bottom bolt is turning freely, you can pull it out. If it is difficult to remove, you can use a hammer and punch to tap it out. However, make sure not to hit the threads of the bolt with the punch.
